Coronavirus Information

We are aware that the outbreak of Coronavirus may be causing a lot of concern for people with Functional Neurological Disorders (FND).

Specialists have advised us that there is no evidence that people with FND have higher mortality from cardiac or respiratory illness. You may have other medical conditions or treatment which could make you vulnerable but there is no additional risk related to coronavirus from FND alone.

We advise seeking information from standard reliable sources, and links have been provided below. These websites are being kept updated.

This can be a very stressful time for people, especially given the uncertainty and disruption it can cause to everyday life. The MIND charity have guidance available to help with emotional wellbeing. Also, our Facebook support groups are a great way to connect with others and have general chit chat to make the time pass if having to self-isolate.
