FND Action joins #GivingTuesday, the international day to do good stuff for charity on Tuesday 27th November 2018

FND Action is excited to reveal that we’re one of over 2,000 charities taking part in this year’s #GivingTuesday campaign being held tomorrow, Tuesday 27th November. The campaign, which began in America in 2012 before being brought to the UK in 2014 by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), is an antidote to the mass consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It aims to get people thinking of others in the run up to Christmas, be it through donating to charity, volunteering or simply helping a friend, neighbour or family member.

Ben Russell, Director of Communications at CAF, adds:

“Giving Tuesday is a wonderful opportunity for people across the globe to get involved in a cause they care about, and last year people covering all seven continents worked together to make a positive impact on the lives of others. We can’t wait to see how our charity and corporate partners are going to pull out all the stops on the big day.”

FND Action became a registered charity in the UK in October 2016, and is run by volunteers who work tirelessly across the UK to raise awareness of Functional Neurological Disorders, provide support to those diagnosed, and advocate for better care and treatment within the NHS and healthcare establishments.

How can you support FND Action on #GivingTuesday?

This year we are launching our giveaway of donation boxes which can be used for personal use to collect spare change and donations.

Every penny does make a difference and next year we will be focusing on providing more information literature for those diagnosed, and to raise more awareness within hospitals, GP surgeries, schools, etc in the UK.

Further details on how you can obtain a donation box can be found by CLICKING HERE.

A huge thank you to all those who have previously donated to FND Action! Without your generosity we would not be able to continue with our work of helping others.
