Being diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder can not only lead you to search for answers as to what it is and how you can get better, but it can also leave you feeling very isolated. YOU ARE NOT ALONE and online support groups provide a platform to talk to others who are in the same/similar place as you.
Since FND Action became a UK registered charity last October, around 2,000 people have already joined our peer support groups, and the four available groups are rapidly growing. It is important to us that people can get peer support if they need it and how they need it, hence we have now created two new groups to meet the need.
FND Action – Carers Support Group UK – FND & NEAD has been set up for carers and family members in the UK who support and/or care for someone diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder and/or Non Epileptic Attack Disorder.
FND Action – Man Cave Support Group UK – FND & NEAD has been set up as an additional space for men diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder and/or Non Epileptic Attack Disorder, and for men who care for someone diagnosed.
