WHAT IS FND AWARENESS DAY?
March 25th marks FND Awareness Day in the UK, where charities and groups from across the UK partner up to run campaigns to help raise much needed awareness of Functional Neurological Disorders (FND), including Non Epileptic Attack Disorder (NEAD). To learn more about FNDs please visit our website pages and also www.neurosymptoms.org, which is patient support website that has been written by one of the leading specialists in the world.
FND Awareness Day UK was started in 2017, and has been astounding and encouraging how much the momentum has grown year to year. This year the UK are delighted to be now joined by the charity FND Australia Support Services, who are the only existing charity in Australia and have now adopted the same, and first, awareness Day!
Given the difficulties people are facing with the Coronavirus outbreak, we will be this year focusing most of our effort in raising awareness across social media sites. Last year was extremely rewarding given FND Action’s Facebook posts alone reached over 100,000 people on the day!
We welcome you to join us in getting involved in raising awareness, which we hope with make a difference to hundreds of adult and children’s lives who are living with FNDs in the UK. See below for details on how you can get involved.
Remember … raising awareness can be done at any time, but March 25th is a special day where we all unite to be the #Voices4FND.
