On the 25th March, FND Awareness Day UK and Aus, the collaboration of 4 charities (FND Action, FND Australia Support Services, FND Friends and FND Dimensions) launched an FND Lived Experience pilot survey.
There is a great need for more information/statistics to be available for us to continue the plight of helping towards improving the treatment and care available for those diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorders within the UK and Australian health services.
The outcomes of this pilot survey will be fed into a larger evidence-based study which is being worked on with our University partner. So your participation will again be asked for in the coming months. The study will be the first of its kind in respect of the data being collected and how it will be used, so by getting involved you will be playing a significant role in helping improve the understanding and services of FNDs.
We welcome you to take part in this pilot survey if you have been diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder, including Non Epileptic Attack Disorder. Whilst the survey is being run in the UK and Australia, you are welcome to still complete it if you reside in a different country, as these outcomes may be contributory to future studies in your area.
All responses are anonymous and no identifying information will be collected as part of the survey.
