On the 10th June, Willy and Andy participating in the Mourne Way Marathon Challenge, one of Ireland’s premier off road running events, to help raise awareness and funds for FND Action and The Haemochromatosis Society. The marathon involved 26.2miles of running, including a total climb of 2063m!
“Well we set a challenge and knew it would be tough, but man was it tough!. Ankle and knee deep in mud most of the way, gales and more but we managed to complete the Mourne Way Marathon in apparently some of the toughest conditions the event organisers have ever seen, but most most importantly we raised awareness and almost £1400 for The haemochromatosis Society & FND action which is what it’s all about. Thanks to everyone who supported us and donated your all amazing”~William McConnell
Thank you to you both for raising a fantastic £804.84 to help FND Action continue with developing a support network for all those diagnosed with a Functional Neurological Disorder in the UK!
