A personal story of being a partner to someone living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
~~~
My wife had a sudden FND episode nearly 2 years ago.
She was initially paralysed on the right side, and lost her ability to speak. Luckily her condition improved during the 2 months after her first episode.
She cannot work anymore, but can walk, perform life activities, albeit in short bursts. She can speak but has required a lot of speech therapy, and gym work at Liverpool Brain Charity.
Her own willpower has got her there and support off me and her family. There is a way to improve your lifestyle changes but you need to believe, and be motivated from within.
Good Luck everyone who has this cruel illness, but never give up.
