Introducing the FND Data Bank UK
~~~
Today we’re launching the FND Data Bank UK – a new initiative designed to help build a clearer picture of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) across the UK.
It is made up of a series of short, anonymous polls for people diagnosed with FND.
The FND Data Bank UK is a series of short, anonymous polls for people diagnosed with FND. Each poll focuses on a different area, including symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and lived experience.
They are designed to be quick and accessible. Most take around 30–60 seconds to complete, and you can take part in as many or as few as you like.
Why are we doing this?
Because conversations about FND are often shaped by limited information, individual experiences, or assumptions. There is currently no simple way to capture broad, real-world insight into what people with FND are experiencing across the UK.
This is a step towards changing that.
By bringing together responses from across the community, we aim to:
better understand patient experience
highlight gaps in care and support
identify patterns in diagnosis and treatment
inform our ongoing advocacy and support work
This is not a research study, and it is not designed to provide definitive answers. Instead, it is a way to begin building a clearer, more representative picture over time.
If you have been diagnosed with FND, we would really value your input.
