Participants needed | Exploring Experiences Of Functional Seizures In Women

You are being invited by Julie Read, a Counselling Psychology doctorate student at Roehampton University, to participate in a research study exploring how women understand their seizures.

Study title:

Exploring your experiences of Functional/Dissociative Seizures.

What’s it about?

The purpose of this research is to help improve healthcare by gaining a better understanding from lived experience.

Am I eligible to take part?

You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:

  • A woman aged 18+.
  • Formally diagnosed with FND functional seizures (dissociative seizures/non epileptic attack disorder)
  • Have had a seizure in the last 3 months and not currently undertaking psychological treatment.

What will I have to do?

You will be asked to take part in an interview with Julie which will last approximately 60-90 minutes, and will take place either remotely (over Zoom) or at your home depending on location.
