Sadie’s Fundraiser | Supporting FND Action

Sadie raises an amazing £1,010 for FND Action and much needed awareness of Functional Neurological Disorder
~~~
We would like to say a huge thank you to Sadie, her family and everyone involved in organising and supporting a fantastic charity night and raffle in aid of FND Action.
Inspired by watching her mum navigate the challenges of FND and the long journey towards diagnosis, Sadie decided to turn that experience into something positive by raising awareness and funds for the FND community.
The event, held at St Joseph’s Social Club in Penketh, Warrington, featured a charity raffle with more than 40 prizes, karaoke, music and an incredible amount of local community support. What began with an original fundraising target of just £300 went on to raise an amazing £1,010.
Sadie shared with us:
“The reason I chose to do this fundraising and why I chose FND Action is due to my mum fighting and pushing for her diagnosis for the past year and a half, which she has finally received. Despite everything happening, my mum has always remained my biggest inspiration, watching her push through and persevere no matter the good or bad days.”
We are incredibly grateful for all the hard work, kindness and generosity that went into making the evening such a success. Community fundraisers like this not only help support the work of FND Action, but also help raise awareness and understanding of Functional Neurological Disorder.
From everyone at FND Action, thank you, Sadie. Your mum must be incredibly proud, and so are we. 💜
