Regional Community Groups

Our Regional Community Groups are designed to offer local, flexible, and inclusive support for individuals living with FND, their caregivers, and loved ones. These groups provide a range of ways to connect and share experiences, whether through WhatsApp chats, Zoom calls, or in-person meetups.

We understand that support needs can vary from person to person, and these regional groups are intended to create a space where individuals can connect with others in their area, share practical advice, and offer emotional support. Whether you’re looking for someone to talk to, advice on managing symptoms, or simply a community that understands, there’s a group for you.

Our goal is to ensure that no matter where you are located, you have access to a local support network that feels personal, accessible, and empowering. These groups are continuously evolving, and we’re always working to provide new ways for people to connect and support each other, wherever they are in their FND journey.

Community Connection

Connecting with local people creates a sense of belonging and helps reduce feelings of isolation, knowing that there are others nearby who understand what you’re going through.

Shared Experiences

Discussing your experiences with others in your area can offer local context, which can be comforting and validating. Sharing stories helps normalize your feelings and challenges.

Ongoing Support & Activities

Regional groups aim to provide continuous support by creating local activities, events, and resources, helping members stay connected and empowered.

Encouragement

Regional groups provide a supportive space where members motivate each other, celebrate victories, and offer comfort through WhatsApp, Zoom, or in-person meetups.

We are establishing regional community groups across the UK to offer localised support through WhatsApp, Zoom calls, and in-person meetups. These groups are a chance to connect with others living with FND, share experiences, and get involved in your local community.

Through your local group, you can:

  • Meet others with FND in your area.

  • Join in with future activities and meetups.
  • Find out about local services and support.
  • Have a voice in shaping local health services.

Below are the groups we currently have, along with their status. As we continue to grow, more regional communities may become available depending on demand and location.
