On 10 October 2026, FND Action celebrates 10 years since becoming a registered charity in the UK. #FNDAct10n
Join us as we celebrate our first decade, raise awareness of FND and support our work into the future.
On 10 October 2016, FND Action became the first registered charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people affected by Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
Ten years later, we're celebrating a decade of raising awareness, providing support and information, challenging misconceptions and advocating for better understanding and care for people living with FND.
Our community has been at the heart of everything we've done, and we would love you to be part of our 10th anniversary.
For 10 years we've worked to support people affected by FND, improve understanding and help bring about meaningful change.
FND Action becomes the UK's first registered charity dedicated to FND. Patient-led.
Helping those diagnosed with FND access reliable information, support and guidance.
Raising awareness of FND via information and campaigns, and challenging misconceptions and stigma.
Working with specialists, NHS services and policy makers to improve understanding, pathways and care.
Bringing people affected by FND together across the UK and helping ensure patient voices are heard.
Our 10th anniversary isn't just about looking back at the last decade. We want our community to be part of marking this milestone with us.
From 10–19 October, we're inviting you to join in with 10 different ways to celebrate 10 years of FND Action. Raise awareness, spread a little kindness, get creative, try something new or set yourself a personal challenge.
Choose one, choose a few, adapt them to suit you, or use them as inspiration for your own idea.
We would love to see how you get involved!
Send us your photos, videos, tell us what you've been doing, or tag us using #FNDAct10n and we'll share as many as we can across our social media during our anniversary celebrations.
Complete 10 acts of kindness over 10 days. They can be big or small, planned or spontaneous, and they don't need to cost anything.
Use our A–Z for inspiration or come up with 10 ideas of your own.
Record a short video sharing something you'd like people to know about FND.
It could be something from your own experience, a misconception you'd like to challenge or simply one thing you wish more people understood.
Help 10 people learn something about Functional Neurological Disorder.
Share reliable information with friends, family, colleagues, your GP or others in your local community.
Make or create 10 things during our anniversary 10 days.
Take photographs, bake, draw, write, knit, craft or choose something completely different.
Try 10 things you've never done before.
They can be tiny, adventurous, creative, funny or completely random. This one is entirely yours to make your own.
Choose a non-essential treat, habit or luxury and give it up for 10 days. Those with a sweet tooth may regret choosing this one!
Pick something that is safe and manageable for you.
Choose an activity that works for you and aim to complete 10 each day for 10 days.
That might be 10 steps, stretches, seated movements or another activity that is appropriate for you.
Write to Number 10 about FND and tell Government what you would like them to understand about the condition and the experiences of people affected by it.
We've put together some ideas and suggested wording to help you write your letter.
Complete 10 miles across our anniversary 10 days in whatever way works for you.
Walk, wheel, cycle, swim or choose another way to cover your distance. Do a little each day or tackle more when you can. How you reach 10 miles is entirely up to you.
Fancy going a little bigger for our 10th? Take on a personal challenge that feels ambitious to you and make it your Extreme 10.
It could be a personal goal or something you've always wanted to try. You'll have up to 10 months to complete it.
Follow our 10th anniversary celebrations across our social media and keep an eye out for everything we'll be sharing from 10 October.
Joining in? Use our anniversary hashtag on your posts so we can see what you've been doing too.

FND Action would not have reached this milestone without the people who have stood alongside us. To our community, volunteers, supporters, healthcare professionals and everyone who has shared our work, raised awareness, fundraised or supported us along the way, thank you.
Your support has helped us continue our work for people affected by FND for an entire decade.
Here's to the next one. 💜
